"Refugee in the Sea" by Tarek Ghriri العربي في الاسفل
Immerse yourself in flamenco guitarist Tarek Ghriri's personal journey with a sonic reflection of his experiences and the collective struggles of countless Syrians who crossed the Mediterranean in search of safety and refuge.
"Refugee in the Sea" is a seven-track album, composed by Ghriri, that explores themes of heartbreak, love, freedom, and cultural identity. This immersive performance blends flamenco, Arabic music, and flamenco dance, featuring visual art by renowned Syrian artist Diala Brisly. In addition to the live performance, the show also features a short film screening directed by Amer Barzawi, documenting the making of the album including interviews with contributing artists.

ABOUT TAREK GHRIRI
An awards nominee for Canadian Folk Music Awards and Ontario Folk Music Awards, and one of the selected Artists at Transglobal World Music Chart. Syrian-Canadian from Palestinian origin flamenco and fretless guitarist with over 22 years of experience in the music industry.
Tarek began his journey as a musician in Syria, where he developed a passion for blending traditional Arabic and flamenco styles. Tarek has released his first album "Refugee in the Sea" in April 2023, which reflects on his personal journey and the experiences of the Syrian people, struggles, and people who have found their final refuge in the bottom of the Mediterranean.
Tarek has honed his craft through years of performances at festivals and shows, in Syria , Lebanon, and Canada . He has also made special appearances on television and radio programs, showcasing his unique blend of Arabic and flamenco music. Since he arrived to Canada, Ghriri merges his passion for music to create a unique blend of the two musical worlds, he create, leads the Flamenco Arabia project, performs, co-produce Massyr “ مسيرَ ” and leads a number of local groups, including "Diar ارَديْ " , and more.
In addition to his performances, Tarek has been teaching music since 2008, and has been using music as a therapeutic tool since 2016. He believes in the power of music to heal, change lives, bring hope, and has been using this approach to help children cope with the stress and trauma of war and displacement, believes in the power of music to heal “www.musicfromhope.com”

يقدم الغريري العرض الثاني لألبومه - لاجئ بالبحر
يستعرض الغريري مع مجموعة من الموسيقيين خلال هذا الحفل نمطه الموسيقي الخاص الذي يتضمن مقطوعات تنقل صوته الموسيقي و رحلته الموسيقية التي عكست تجاربة الخاصة والتي توازي النضالات الجماعية لعدد لا يحصى من السوريين الذين سافروا عبر البحر الأبيض المتوسط بحثًا عن الأمان والملاذ.
ألبوم لاجئ بالبحر ، هو الألبوم الموسيقي الأول ل طارق غريري ، وهو عبارة عن ألبوم مكون من سبعة مقطوعات جميعها تأليف الغريري ، يستعرض فيها موضوعات حسرة القلب ، وارتباطه بالحرية والوطن ، والبحث عن الهوية الثقافية.
سيأخذكم العرض في رحلة عبر الهند والشرق الأوسط وإسبانيا في عرض غامر يمزج بين موسيقى الفلامنكو والموسيقى العربية وسيتضمن العرض مقاطع من رقص الفلامنكو بالإضافة إلى لوحات فنية من أعمال للفنانة السورية ديالا بريصلي. بالإضافة إلى الأداء الموسيقي الحي ، سيعرض فيلم قصير من إخراج عامر برزاوي يوثق صناعة الألبوم ويتضمن مقابلات مع فنانين مساهمين.
عن طارق غريري
مرشح لجوائز الموسيقى الفلكلورية الكندية، وجوائز الموسيقى الفلكلورية في أونتاريو، وواحد من الفنانين المختارين في تصنيف .Transglobal World Music Chart.
عازف غيتار، فلامنكو، ومؤلف، ومنتج كندي من أصل فلسطيني، يتمتع بخبرةٍ تزيد عن 22 عاماً في صناعة الموسيقى.
بدأ طارق طريقه الموسيقي في سوريا، حيث طور مفهوماً يمزج بين أنماط الموسيقى العربية التقليدية مع الفلامنكو. أصدر طارق ألبومه الأول “لا بد أني بحلم”.
في ألبومه 2023، يمكن سماع رحلته الشخصية وانعكاساتها على الشعب السوري، ونضالاته، وأولئك الفننين وجدوا أنفسهم في خضم
حربٍ لا يريدونها.
طور طارق مهاراته عبر سنوات من العروض في المهرجانات والحفلات في سوريا ولبنان، وكذلك ظهر بشكلٍ خاص في
العديد من التغطيات الإعلامية، من بينها الجزيرة و BBC، ووسائل إعلامية أخرى في أوروبا والولايات المتحدة.
منذ وصوله إلى كندا، نجح غربياً في لجذب الموسيقيين لخلق مزيجٍ فريداً من عالمي الموسيقى، حيث أنشأ وأنتج بقيادة عدة
مشاريع منها “سُمير” “تنور”، إلى إنتاج عرض Flamenco Arabia.
بالإضافة إلى عروضه، يُدرّس طارق الموسيقى منذ عام 2008، ويستخدم الموسيقى كأداة علاجية منذ عام 2016. يمزج ثروة
الموسيقى من العالم، وتأثير الإنسان، وحبّات الحياة، وهذا التنوع العميق يتجلى بشكل واضح على أعماله الفنية.
